Gold Market Analysis:
On Tuesday (April 1), spot gold continued to rise, reaching new highs, with a peak of $3,148.94 per ounce. Currently, during the U.S. trading session, it is trading at $3,112.29 per ounce. On Monday (March 31), gold experienced a significant breakthrough, surpassing $3,100 per ounce and gaining $100 in just one week.
The price surge is driven by multiple factors, including trade concerns, a weaker U.S. dollar, and declining bond yields, making gold one of the best-performing commodities of 2025. So far this year, gold prices have risen by 18.3%. With the Nasdaq index plunging, gold has gained further support as investors grow anxious over the tariff policies set to be announced by the Trump administration on April 2. Recently, Trump declared new tariff measures against Russia and Iran, which are expected to have widespread economic repercussions, prompting investors to increase their holdings in safe-haven assets like gold.

Crude Oil Market Analysis:
On Tuesday (April 1), international oil prices surged significantly. Brent crude futures rose by $1.11 (1.5%), closing at $74.74 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increased by $2.12 (3.1%), closing at $71.48 per barrel. This marks Brent crude’s highest closing price since February 24 and WTI’s highest since February 20.
The surge in oil prices is primarily driven by escalating concerns over supply disruptions, particularly due to strong rhetoric from U.S. President Trump against Russia and Iran. In an interview on Sunday, Trump stated that if Russian President Vladimir Putin obstructs his efforts to end the Ukraine conflict, he will impose secondary tariffs ranging from 25% to 50% on buyers of Russian oil. This threat has heightened market uncertainty regarding Russia, the world’s second-largest oil exporter.
Additionally, Trump warned that if Iran fails to reach an agreement with the U.S. on its nuclear program, it will face airstrikes and similar tariff measures. Since Russia and Iran together account for a significant share of global oil supply, any substantial sanctions or military actions could lead to tightening supply and push oil prices even higher.
Crude Oil Trading Strategy for Today:
